What ECU for my SE

So I've gone through and done the usual bolt on's and am suffering from the much reported terrible standard ecu on the SE.
I've got the begi intake, flyin miata down pipe just a standard sports exhaust from the fm cat and a turbo smart t boost mbc.
I'm considering getting either the microtech or the adaptronic. Also although unlikely perhaps a megasquirt 2. There is a local tuner who works a lot with microtech and there are a few in Melbourne that work with adaptronic so I am leaning more towards the microtech. None locally that deal with ms2.
I'm after any advice, opinions or experiences that people have with these.
Thanks

With the ecu swap you can get it to drive ok but it will always laggggggg till 4000rpm and then go ok, for 2000rpm and its all over.
You cannot solve that with an ecu.

I have had good experiences with both the Adaptronic and the ChipTorque reflash (modifying the standard ECU). I'm currently using the reflash and I'm really happy with the results but not sure I would recommend it if you aren't within driving distance from ChipTorque. My car pulls nicely from below 3,000 rpm but the turbo has a 15T compressor wheel on it.
What are your plans for the car?
Adaptronic has awesome support and there's quite a number of MX-5s running them now, you can't really go wrong with them.
Cheers

Ok I rallyed an SE for two +++ Years
ECU will give the best driver response for the best money spent .
The SE turbo with good exhust and ECU will make 165 KW ATRW ( DANN I DARE YOU )
With an After Market ECU You fill in the Bottemend IE 2800rpm
This gives you more go out of the corners so you have more terminal velocity Down the straight to the big brake point for the next corner
Here you go STOCK SE with Autronic ECU SM4 Rally car O it has no cat or muffler

No power arguments.
Regarding getting the car to come on with nice torque below 3000, Ive no idea, the stock downpipe elbow is
tiny and having dríven a few SE's with standalone ECUs tuned by experienced professionals non eof them have had a wide torque band that started down low like you say.

No power arguments, regarding power the only thing I have to say is..

When the car comes bake from the dead I"ll Get you up for a drive
This IS a STOCK CAR with after market ECU
I MADE A PLUG AND PLAY FOR THIS CAR TO LEARN
\The ECU might be for sale

Well done, seriously, 2800rpm is a lot better than I have seen.
Does it run any funky timing in the few hundred rpm before boost threshold?

you need no wake up to the fact that it can be done
F**k of the Cat and the rear muffler
install the Computer Fine tune to your Engine
AND
http://vimeo.com/11594474ENJOY
O And dann there is no FUNKY timing Going on
Well Not till you get to 4500 rpm then all hell breaks loose
( O when that happens there is boost at 1500RPM but the turbo goes SLPAT after 1000KM competitive

Interesting, using the stock cast turbo downpipe elbox? One that Ive dríven has the adaptronic, full FM exhaust, but the stock downpipe elbow, also has the popular intake and stuff.
Ive never modified an SE or worked on one apart from pulling the SE gear off and replacing with garretts and Borg warners.
And when you say 2800rpm you mean it makes 1psi at 2800, when is peak torque?
BTW I like you russell, straight to the point, my kind of bloke.

Cool BS aside No Name droping
At @2800 It has 5 PSI of boost
This is stock Till the 3 bolt flange on the down pipe
IE with no anti lag ECT
With Anti Lag I see 12 + from 2500 on
The STD ECU holds the FUEL and TIMING BACK till 4500 RPM
this holds back the turbo form getting hot enought to make boost \
This is where the STD SE becomes Happy

Do you know when peak torque is, which is the main thing we are asking.
Wonder why I have never seen that sort of boost at those rpm's.
Perhaps it is similar however the turbo might not flow enough for a lot of torque at 5psi.
