Hey, please link me if this has already been covered in another post, but i was unable to find any information.
I have recently purchased a CX racing intercooler kit. The piping all fits well and looks to be of good quallity but i can figure out how the cooler core is mounted. The kit came with brackets that look to be custom made but no instructions were included.
The kit is for a 1990 na6, any help would be appreciated.
Thankyou, Mat

Looking at the pics on this site:

it looks like theres 2 little L brackets and 2 sorta more squigly brackets perhaps the 2 squigle brackets screw onto the IC and then join the L brackets that you locate above the Ic on the peice of metal that is infront of the bonnet latch.
hard to tell from pics

Re: CX racing intercooler
As above, it all probably 'hangs' from where the bonnet latch bolts to the car. The brackets would sit on top of the latch ond not between the latch and body as this would move the latch.
Best thing to do is to get everything in place and spend some time under and over the car and just trying different combinations of brackets and seeing where they reach to.

you could also make these.
or if you need a quick fix (not permanent) some 1cm diam copper tubing flattened at the ends and driller to accept a bolt and bent where needed is very simple and only took me 20 mins to make up with a hammer and a drill.
the reason it can only be temporary is copper will fatigue and snap at the bends.

Re: CX racing intercooler
Thanks for the replies!
I did have a look on the CX racing website and found that picture. I would have thought they would supply a better one for ease of install, obviously not.
Looks like i will have to make something up and mount it to the bonnet latch which i had'nt thought of.
Thankyou.
