Although they are beautiful cost v performance your better off building a turbo engine esp on a budget

If you want cheap power, turbos are way ahead.
Ecus, the most obvious two are the megasquirt and the adaptronic.
Reasons why blower not turbo?

Both ecus I suggested are capable.
If you want instant torque, you want 10.5:1 compression, E85 and a GT2554r on 10psi.
Nothing has instant torque like that.

I'm part way through installing a Rotrex DIY Kit from Bullet Cars. I have an NB8C and i've encountered a few... annoyances rather than full blown problems. To do with the differences between models.
Slight differences with the air-conditioner/power steering belt tensioner meant the tensioner fouls the S/C, a slightly longer belt is needed to give clearance, the OEM belt is way to tight otherwise.
I'm also doing my version of Track Dog Racing Inter-cooler setup plus 2 core radiator -now the fans foul the S/C belt tensioner so I've gone to slimline fans with shroud.
I fully expected little things like this when I purchased the DIY, gives me an opportunity to keep the skills up and opens up a new challenge when it comes to fine tuning up the Adaptronic ECU.
Once it is up and running properly I will post pics.
The DIY Kit supplied is top stuff, if it wasn't for the other mods I am doing, the full kit could be easily be done in a day.

Lol at the rotrex. It wont help you get instant torque. One of the guys on MT is building a twin charged car. He originally wanted the rotrex, but is fitting a turbo (gt2554) to fill in the blowers lack of bottom end torque.

This may be ideal in like the perfect world where you don't daily drive the car and every second servo has E85..
Moving on.
A lot of people have used Jackson Superchargers with Water to Air intercoolers and megasquirts.

You are kidding right?
Please OP, do some research on flex sensors. People are always so quick to put down things they arent familiar with.
Drive everything before you throw money down, and do your research before you listen to what anyone has to say, including me.
But high compression with E85 and a ball bearing GT2554 spools as fast as your foot moves. Honestly, get on MT and have a look at the logs.

I'm quite familiar with E85 however there are still very few servos that sell it. Most people when modifying a car look for reliability not just power..

Sorry your high right?
E85 is liquid reliability. Maybe google flex sensors yourself.

All well and good when you can buy it.

Any city is easy picking, and in a year it will be everywhere. A megasquirt and flex fuel, with a flex fuel tune is still cheaper than something like manias adaptronic ecu package.
Then when you want the extra 40rwhp and 1000rpm of spool take the 20 min drive to a flex servo.
