How do you tell if a turbo has a bush or ball type bearing
I have a Garrett T28 and it has Garrett AR48 stamped on the front

If its a nissan turbo is ball bearing. If it has a built in oil restrictor, its ball bearing.

That means I have to pull it all off just to see if I have a restrictor
I can see the oil line and the fitting but I can't reach it
It looks like a flared brake line fitting, would that be likley to have a restrictor under it ?

Only one way to find out 
Why do you need to know? Also have you posted this question on miataturbo? The FM kit is popular there and you might get an answer quick smart if you post a photo or 2.

I need to know because i am getting oil in the intercooler and I think either the seals in the turbo or no restrictor is the problem
