I good upgrade is a map sensor and an ecu to handle it. Not necessarily a cheap upgrade though.

I think it was matty did some testing on an rx7 maf, which decreased restriction but was a bit hard to get idle correct? Search should find it.

Why do you want the upgrade could be helpful information. ie a minor tweak or are you after another 50 kw.... :-P

i have the full mania stage 1 upgrade in the car with a T-boost (i dont like it bost spike).
i know that the sr20s have a limet of about 250 hp of flow so cant think se would be as good as that

Why eBoost2 and Adaptronic? You should have gone straight to the Adaptronic and saved $$$

^ agree. With adaptronic you won't need a maf at all and it comes with an internal map. Problem solved :-)

E-Boost2 has much better control of the boost via it's own solenoid and peripherals, whereas without it, you're still going through the stock set-up which can't control boost spikes, change boost levels on the fly, etc.

What is the flow rate of the stock SE air flow meter?? I will be extremely surprised if it can't flow enough air through it for much more power than you'll ever go near achieving. Save your money and the hassle and leave the stock one where it is.

Maf sucks for forced induction tuning and na tuning for different reasons, no reason to keep it once you have a ecu capable of using a map sensor.

The adaptronic has full solenoid control including boast cut in low gears if desired.
It can also be set up to switch between different boost levels I believe.
I would have thought cheaper to buy the solenoid and have the ecu manage it?

I heavily recommend talking to Andy at adaptronic about your plans. Very helpful in my experience. Best of luck
