I fitted a Turbosmart Kompact Recirc Bov a few months back, much better, car pulls stronger so I think the original was dodgey. Also just fitted an AEM Short Ram Air Intake, fantastic mod - car has much more power and the Turbosmart keeps the noise to a minimum!

Don't forget to check your wastegate too...

A boost gauge would be a very handy thing to have and make diagnosis much easier. Cheap and easy to install :)
