Thought i would post up a few pics and some info on a car Dad is just finishing off for a customer in Melbourne.

This car has been a work in progress for a while, but the owner wanted a good turbo car that he can use at the track. Meaning it had to be reliable, but most importantly FAST!!!

As well as the Turbo, the car also had some Big AP Racing 6 pot front calipers fitted, with AP Racing lightweight brake rotors. To maximize the big brakes, the ABS system from a later model MX-5 has been wired into the car

A tilton twin plate racing clutch now sits at the beginning of the driveline

Signature swaybars have been fitted and the suspension arms modified to achieve a good amount of camber

The water flow has been completely rerouted to improve the cooling system for the turbo application, with a custom flow aluminium radiator we had made & custom Aluminium radiator header tank Dad knocked up.

A fair few other things have been changed and done up on this car including Rollcage, Bottom end, Gearbox.... the list goes on and the car goes hard

So here are a couple of pics of whats going on underneath the bonnet

Those brakes... not cheap.

Each caliper is about $1400, each disc without the hat is a bit over $700 i think

So with lines, pads, hats and dog bones you wont get much change out of $6,500 - $7,000

Don't quote me on that though, that is just off the top of my head.

Dad does the four pot AP caliper kit, with DBA discs and hats and caliper brackets for much cheaper, this kit is around $3300 incl GST i think, the only thing not included in that is the pads due to the varied choice and price of different pads that fit theses calipers

Just passing through Melbourne on our way to Phillip Island to give the car its first run in the dry, last week at Winton we got rain all day unfortunatley. Tomorrow we are hoping to see what the car can really do. Will keep you updated tomorrow for those interested.
