can the 1.8 se turbo manifold be used on the na8c or nb8 engines as a direct bolt up for an aftermarket turbo kit?
if so has anyone seen this done before, im not really familiar with these engines at all, so sorry if its a stupid question

Yes it can but you're probably better off getting an AVO/SMP/BEGI etc. turbo manifold for better flow.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

has been done by people on this forum, search is your friend. I have full se turbo setup that i will be putting on my nb8a soon, with some modifications and piggyback/ecu.
it is doable, but as Okibi said, AVO/SMP/BEGI is better for price/performance (unless you can get the se gear for really cheap )

um sorry guys BUT the answer is NO for na8c yes for nb8a & NO for nb8b they all have different port set ups, not a silly question at all & unless you compare manifold gaskets most people wont notice the difference...
you are better off using an aftermarket setup that is designed for your car though

I have full SE turbo set up on the green machine which is a NA8...fits no problem including all the SE oil and coolant feed pipes and the bracket that bolts to the bottom of the turbo...just had to tap in to the sump for the oil return.
All 1.8 engines have the same port set up on the exhaust side.
Works really well, with adaptronic, custom intake and exhaust makes about 150rwkw...in a car that weighs in at under 900kg. it's fun.
