Here is some interesting feed back from someone that has one.
http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?p=4199763"Hey guys, I am running the Kraftwerks production kit and love it.
To address Miata GT’s question about the stage one kit, IMHO is the perfect balance for the street for the following reasons:
1) It has very linear acceleration making it very easy to drive.
2) If Mazda had a larger 6 cylinder engine option, it would feel like the Rotrex kit. No weird noises, no huge bump in the acceleration, just more power.
3) The engine finally feels like it matches the chassis. I do feel that it was too much for my old stock suspension though, I upgraded shortly afterwards.
4) More torque! I no longer have to downshift 2 to overtake another car on the highway.
5) I drive my car every day, and the kit requires no special attention. I have been running this now for about 6-8 months and have had to do zero tweaking. I get in the car, turn over the ignition, and I drive away in a very spirited fashion. I put this on the car with ~89K on the clock, and I am at 96K.
6) My car is invisible in the Nazi police state city that I live in. No supercharger whine, no fart can exhaust. It’s a perfect sleeper. (Please note that I like my Nazi police state city. It’s quiet here. I just don’t want to be pulled over)
7) Gas mileage is about the same. I have dropped 1-2 MPG. Considering that I have always dríven my car like I stole it, it now looks like I robbed the bank too!
“Personal” reasons that I like this kit.
1) Oscar Jackson created this kit. I have heard great things about the reliability of his old kit and his dedication to his customers. I am also very impressed that he is not caving in to “quick money” by releasing his kits quickly. Like many auto manufacturers, he tests them on the track under grueling conditions so he knows that they will be bullet proof on the street.
2) Upgradeable. I am at 157 whp. I can go up to 300. Enough said.
3) Less parts. One of the things that I learned as a formally trained Industrial Designer is that less fewer parts mean that there are fewer things that can fail. Fewer things to fail means increased reliability. When you see the Kraftwerks kit installed, it seems like it only has only 5 parts. Bracket, Rotrex unit, fluid reservoir, belt cooler and pipes. In my imaginary world, this seems like it should be bulletproof. So far it has been.
4) Elegant. This thing is beautiful. All of the parts bolt-snap-clip in/on to existing holes in the chassis or frame. No drilling, welding or forcing parts. It seems like it was engineered by the factory and precision made. I like that.
In conclusion: I have had an awesome experience with this Kraftwerks Kit and the company. Highly recommended. I hope this feedback helps!
