that is where the 5th injector goes on the stage 1 avo kit.

if you're not using the 5th injector, and instead are just upsizing injectors, then just make a blanking plate to block the hole. that's what i did, worked a treat.

the stage 1 kit uses the standard injectors, augmented by the 5th injector which is controlled by a little piggyback ecu and just sprays fuel into the intake there. it sounds a bit dodgy but apparently it works ok on low boost set ups.

the stage 2 kit does away with the 5th injector and uses 4 bigger injectors to replace the standard ones. this is the better way to do it.

you need to do one or the other, the standard injectors aren't big enough on their own. or the other option is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, but again i don't reckon that is as good as fitting bigger injectors.

Fatty is telling it how it is.
The 5th injector is a cheap and reasonably effective way to add fuel on basic, low boost set-ups. It's also the setup that AVO used to get the kit pre-approved with most australian authorities.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
