What's it for? I'm really hoping some kind of racing and not just "need two of the big ones" style theory.

nitrous on the track???.........are you on CRACK?? .............Nos is for a drag strip with a 5 second burst & an engine designed to burn it

& if you don't like WOT, you certainly WON'T like the kick in the arse you get from Nos

I'm guessing.....but in the long term, its going to cost you more to keep enough nitrous bottles Than just getting a decent FI set up.

It is not the cheapest in the long run and whether or not it is a good idea depends on application.

As someone who has experience with NOS setups in MX5s, may I humbly suggest that using it on the race track is not the best idea. As AJ has already mentioned, NOS should only be activated at Wide Open Throttle (W.O.T.) usually to ensure that there is sufficient fuel.

Best setup depends on application. For most "street class" 4 cylinder E.F.I. cars, I would use a 'wet' multi-point kit which uses four (or more) nozzles for both fuel and NOS. As for fitting it yourself, unless you have done one before, do not try to install the kit I refer to above. A kit will include all mechanical parts, lines, nozzles and bottle. Usually no E.C.U. is included from most NOS manufacturers but things may have changed since I last heard.

I took NOS off my car because I could not control the car when the power hit. It would just automatically change lanes on me and this was with Falken 205 wide R-specs.

I must also state that NOS is not legal in any state under Federal Transport laws and this would also negate any insurance that you may have.

I humbly suggest adding your location to your profile and getting in contact with your local MX5 club and start going to track days. Suspension, tyres and track time are your best investments.

NOS is illegal in ALL forms of circuit racing. NOS is for Fast and the Furious movies and 400m - nothing else.

Don't try sniffing the NOS out of the blue bottles as they add egg-gas to it to stop everyone having a laugh-fest.

Yea adding NOS for 'down the straight speed' sounds like a dumb idea, even to me (and trust me, I have plenty of em when it comes to cars haha)

Nos will cost u a lot to run it all the time, even for the drags. Spend the money on a decent turbo setup and u can have the power at the strip/circuit/street, hell even doing burnouts in ur driveway if thats what ur into
