On my previous ride, i used Water Injection with limited success...
(This was on a Mini 998cc Blow-Through carb setup!)
I used a generic windscreen washer reservoir and pump, and some clear hose, a hobbs pressure switch at 12Psi .... no nozzles, pintles or other stuff ...
Just crinped the end of the hose (flame and Pliers!) and then heat up a pin, and press into tube ....
Fill reservoir with 50/50 water/Methanol mix . . .
Run car on Dyno, and repeat until best reduction in intake temps was achieved ....
Basically i was able to reduce temps by about 8' at 14Psi which netted about 10Hp at the wheels .. not too shabby ...
I dropped the whole setup when i went to water to air intercooling .... (that got me about 30Hp and an extra 4 PSI boost !)
The setup was reliable and effective, providing I remembered to fill the reservior ....
Personaly, i wouldnt bother again .... good intake temperatures can be achieved with a combination of air pickup location (think wheel well ...), Intercooling and Tuning ...
Anything that relies on you doing stuff will invariably fail .... especially if you engine is already running on a knife's edge (like my little time bomb was

)
jsut to put it into perspective ...
Stock Mini 998 - 39 HP
Turbo @ 8Psi - 96 HP
Turbo @ 12PSI / WI - 104 HP
Turbo with Revised Air Pickup / Intercooler @12 PSI 136
remember this was a sub 1-litre 'dinosaur' pushrod engine ....4cly / two intake ports / three exhaust ports ....
