you guys know what i'm talking about... how to get at those nuts on the underside of the AVO manifold. i'm trying to undo them but i can't get my spanner in there, the metal water pipe for the heater hoses gets in the way, the turbo gets in the way... it's just a real pain in the ass.
any hints and tips would be appreciated.

I don't know how much space you have but these are always handy in tight places.
Ratchet/gear spanners?

There is a way not easy but not imposible either!
you just have to grind a 14mm i think it is spanner down so it fits (open ender)
i did have a photo of it somewhere if i find it i will post.

wide enough that it wont bend thin enough to fit between 2 & 3
just buy a cheap one to butcher!!

I had a couple of modified spanners for my manifold nuts.
Worth their weight in gold. Personally I didn't buy cheapies as I figured since I was weakening them it was probably better to start with a reasonable quality spanner.

thanks again guys, the ground down el cheapo spanner worked a treat. actually, once you put the car up on jack stands and take that front wheel off, getting to those nuts is actually pretty easy!
