:?: Searching for answers on 02 single wire sensors.
Seeing there 1000's made and they have the ability to make or break your engine which one is best for an NA6 Turbo.
I have 2 placed together about 50 mm apart infront of the cat. I dont know why!
 I broke the wire off one and I want to replace it. The only marking is "0601"

Should I use the standard OEM or something different now there is a turbo installed?
Recomendations????

Before we can respond we need to understand what the O2 sensor will be hooked up to. ie does Ryan's old car have an aftermarket ECU or a piggy back installed? Do you have a AFR gauge attached to the O2 sensor? If the answer to these is yes then you would probably need a wideband O2 sensor as a narrow band sensor will not provide the output that a aftermarket ECU or AFR gauge requires.

I've never heard of a single wire WibeBand O2 sensor. I'd say it's the stock one that is kaputt.

Follow the wiring back into the loom and see if it is connected at all to the Microtech. If it is just connected to an A/F gauge, you can rip it out and save weight.

I E-Mailed Ryan. It's a standard OEM sensor.

1 single wire Sensor for the Microtec and the other for the narrow band AFR Gauge

 The one I broke was used for the Air/Fuel ratio gauge. I'll buy a replacement and cut the wire from the gauge off the other O2 sensor and put it on the new sensor. The O2 sensor may be giving false readings sending a signal to the PIGGYBACK Microtec ECU and the AFR gauge at the same time. :D

FYI, the microtech doesn't require the O2 sensor wire - It's only for logging purposes and does not effect the tune regardless.
