Blackster,
I had mine pop off some months ago, but just refitted it and then tightened the crap out of it and all's well.
Mind you awfully tempted to fit the metal mod pipe!

Does the pipe balloon under normal boost?

So who is organizing the group buy, and where from?

I'm guessing if you ditch it for solid pipes all around it would improve throttle response?

But that rubber is calibrated specially by Mazda engineers to absorb boost spikes, it's much smarter than pop off valves that waste precious boost.

Interestingly, since changing to the FM metal pipe, car seems to accellerate a little bit harder...plus runs more boost

Throttle response should increase due to all the compressed air actually getting to the TB quicker (not lingering about in the piping).

I had the Flyin Miata metal intake pipe along with a GFB BOV fitted to my SE only just last week. Throttle response is sharper and acceleration is also improved. There is a noticeable kick right at 5,000rpm.

Fitted Mania/FM SS Throttle body today.
Will have to play with BOV pressure and MBC.
Boost increased and much sharper throttle on/off response.
Finding a 35mm-20 reducer was a bugger.
"edit" Reroted pipes - thanks Blackster.
Have serious boost cut happening now. But hell it goes well.

How did u re-route the pipes? (and as such hitting boost cut) I'm running same intake, with wastegate pressure take off coming from the manifold (instead of inlet pipe as per factory) but having no issues with boost cut

Fixed now.
I didnt have the routing quite right.
Now its ok, but i had(over the past few weeks) gradually ramped up the BOV pressure and MBC too hard.
I reset the BOV soft, and adjusted the MBC back so now boost is hovering around 10 and throttle control isnt as touchy/harsh as it was. The BOV wasnt letting go fast enough on backoff at high rpm.
Seems to be showing higher boost in 1st and 2nd than it used to.
