Where to get exhaust manifold studs locally?

Giving Nessy a service, looking at the studs they seem to be 10x1.25mm should i go to Mazda or is there an alternative?

While I'm pulling it all apart, i would rather have something that only needs tightening once.

Super cheap or repco both stock them.

CT recommends Nissan Sylvia studs, nuts and lock tabs - apparently the ducks whatsit and don't shake loose - off to your Nissan dealer Nuno!

Definately the Nissan Studs/nuts/lock plates are the ones to use...all the Turbo MX5 racers are using them now...

I actually priced these up from Mazda. They wanted $10 per stud, and about $6 per nut!

Multiply that by 9...

The Nissan studs we use are just the ones that mount the turbo to the manifold...so only need 4...still a bit expensive but worth it.

the turbo to manifold is fine (touches wood)...
My issue is the manifold to head studs, they have been used a few times and one has snapped
and another has stretched threads...
Whilst replacing the studs, i'll be fabbing a downpipe bracket to the gearbox to relieve some stress off the manifold.
Would repco studs be sufficient?

I would use the OEM studs if possible into the head. Definitely brace the turbo and consider adding a flex joint to your exhaust system as well.

I ended up grabbing Nissan studs and nuts off the RB/SR engines. Same thread/pitch and almost 1/2 the price of the Mazda ones ($50 for 10 instead of $80 for the Mazda equivalent).

I figure, since the Nissan engines are already turbocharged, these should be suitable for the higher temps the manifold carries.

After the brace goes on, I will need to incorporate a flex joint as the rear coupling (just past the diff) has also cracked, but I daresay that was due to a ripple strip at Oran Park
