- Externally discrete installation (eg intercooler not obvious), and of course no "whoosh whoosh" noises!
You will definately hear something, but keeping it sensible like an OEM turbo car is easy.
- Job has a price limit, based on agreed assumptions of vehicle condition and parts & labour costs (eg engine internals are ok, turbo costs $x, manifold requires x hours to make). I must avoid blowouts due to unanticipated issues with fabrication or compliancing.
Unavoidable in every last case, if it was found that your car needed maintenance then that work would need to be done and paid for. For example.
Desirable
- In-car power adjustment or tune switching
Completely useless, we are in the future now and the throttle is made for this job, but it can be added.
Bonus
- Additional EC functions, eg flat-shifting
If you want racecar stuff you can have it, all costs money though.
- Boost display
Fit any gauge you want after the build is done.
It is likely you will have a different list, as we all want different things from our cars.
My NC is a daily driver for my wife and I and it has to be reliable and safe to drive for both of us in variable conditions. We don't need max power or want to drive like idiots, we have an MX-5 race car for that :-)
