Dann you are being far too cute. You have already passed this clanger

"The fact of the matter is that airflow is power. Nothing else."

Which is crap.

Increased Air + Increased Fuel = Bigger Bang. :)

What, of course you need more fuel to go with the air, but more fuel is not a challenge nor does it require any skill, effort, or thought.

No builder spends hours on the dyno trying to work out how to get more fuel in.

Ok, i think that the point is being missed of my thread........

I ONLY want 145rwkw.... no more

I understand that to get more the ECU will need to be changed.... however, after buying a house and starting renovations, i really dont want to spend that money....

So, getting back on topic.... IF you wanted to get 145rwkw, just do CAI and Zorst, and keep boost under 9.5psi.

This is perfect for me..... as i am reasonalby happy with the 100 odd rwkw the SE has standard, but a few more HP and some more souds from intake/exhaust would be the best.

People tend to get carried away with power, and forget that HEAPS of MX5 owners are happy with a 1.6 or 1.8 naturally aspirated.... i just want to get the best out of the factory ECU.... not replace it.

Im still going to suggest the ECU, it will easily get you there on its own, holds value for resale of itself, will attract zero police attention and you will have zero chance of crappy driving traits with it.

Just drive to mania, put down the 1900 or whatever it is and you are done. If you want nice exhaust sounds get the rear muffler replaced with a straight through pipe or hotdog, the SE exhaust sounds pretty nice like that.
