lol fair enough, and as for being insured, Insurance wont cover a P plater driving a forced induction petrol vehicle man regardless because if you can be fined for any lawful license related issue u wont be covered for that particular accident.

Same goes with third party too.

But honestly, who cares just give a fake name dont keep your license on u. Better off.. saves you a few grand or a million if u hit a house/ferrari/lambo etc..

Please do not listen to slimxs advice as it will only get you into more trouble.

I mentioned the electric blow off valve because he could look badass withou the need to speed off at traffic lights, there was no disrespect implied. Esp since I have dealer with Sancho and find him a friendly honest guy.

As others have explained, your car won't be covered for insurance purposes, therfor your actions are totally liable by yourself. If anything was to happen, you would have to cover the costs.

Also, costs aside if an accident occurred the other party would have a case against you in regards to the tort of negligence. You really wouldn't want a court case on top of other issues arising.

My idea of weight reduction was fair, you also reduce wear and tear on tyres, brakes and other various components. Saving you money

thats not genius sir its really stupid
better off doing mods that are legal and making more money so you can make more legal mods. if you hit damage someones car thta someone will still hae to pay. its not fair to others!

yep that's really genius.........and then when they find you've given them a false name, and hand your rego number to the police and they find out who really owns the car you find yourself in real trouble.

Slimx that's a really dumb comment to make in your situation, here you are running a business and sponsoring on this forum, and then write a comment like that, people /customers are going to think if he makes comments like
"who cares just give a fake name dont keep your license on u. Better off.. saves you a few grand or a million if u hit a house/ferrari/lambo et "......
why would I pay this guy money for something, he will probably rip me off because he doesn't care about other people.

His comment did come prior to forum sponsorship in his defence, regardless I wouldn't take his advice.

Thanks HJT, I wasn't aware of that, it still does plant the seed of doubt in ones mind as to do you part with your money, with that attitude.

SC ≠ quieter than turbo!
I wouldn't recommend a forced MX5 for a P plater.

wow this topic did get Very serious. I was just browsing cause xbox servers are down :( lol
Time to defend myself and correct a comment i made earlier i wasnt specific enough obviously.

Yes in my defence i didnt have a business wen i made the comment. I did have alot of my old posts removed actually prior to applying for sponsorship missed this one i guess.

Old Dude, when i made that comment it wasnt like U MUST DO THIS it was like if UR REALLY DESPERATE that is probably the only way to go about it. In reality getting anything done to your car as a p plater is a stupid idea. Your screwed in every way.

oh and When i said LIE ABOUT YOUR NAME
I dont mean GIVE BOB MARLEY sorry i wasnt clear i shouldve said this:

ASSUMUNG U USED YOUR COMMON SENSE AND INSURED THE VEHICLE UNDER AN ADULTS NAME + NON P PLATER + FULL LICENSED + 5 YRS DRIVING EXPERIENCE
i mean give an ADULTS name e.g. your mother or father (insurance will be $1750 - 2500 cheaper AND IT COVERS THEM)

As for someone who wrote "do legal mods" when u are a p plater NO MODS ARE LEGAL. U cannot drive a modified car. Engineered? they dont give a sh*t = engineered means modified. Your car will be fine if ure engineered but you will still get booked dont know what the fine is though.

If a cop wants he'll get u. With or without turbo ur screwed. Insurance if they dont wanna pay out they will find a way to NOT pay u. With insurance u do have a chance of winning though, hitting the ombudsman? (hard to spell it) usually scares them into dropping the cash. in any weird scenario.

I onced got side swiped at a stop sign. I was parked with the HANDbrake up in my Integra. Waiting for an old lady in a holden commdore when i say (SHE WAS 83!!!)

She came FLYING into me.. it felt 300km/h lol, Smashed my car thne HELD THE GAS PEDAL after hitting my car went into a house the car is stpoped stuck against the houe wheels still spinning because the bonehead is still holding the gas pedal.

I got her out of the car she ADMITTED to the police that i was STOPPED AND SHE HIT ME, she pressed the GAS instead of the brake.
Insurance told me to get f*d. I sent police reports everything.. took it to court. Then i had to go overseas, in this time these morons obviously knew and sent me 50 letters regarding attending a final re-examination (IN COURT) of the case because i MISSED IT (i was in TURKEY and then DUBAI having a great time..) i was fined $2,600 in fines for not attending court, $18,000 to fix that stupid house, $11,500 to the lady who hit me and a stop sign fine of $250.
WTF
I flipped took it to the ombudsman (i hate this word) once my way through it got every charge drpoped. But still had to pay HER stupid excess some how.

Writing this Essay i realised i am just rambling on and have nothing else to do and that there is no moral to what i jus twrote i just got psytracted but atleast im sure i made 1-2 people smile by reading this entire single post for no reason. lol

I guess the moral is
You can win, it just takes to much time.

--------
sOMETHING new to add though.
NRMA there job is to cover ANYONE IN ANY SITUATION, this could be used to anyones advantages. It ONly states EXCLUDING driving under influence says nothing about under age balh blah.
Your excess will $2500 but.. what if u hit a ferrari and have no insurance you will be begging to pay $2500 to fix everything

What?

So you admit that it's all illegal, then suggest insurance fraud as a means to get around it, then suggest that everone gets insurance bcause "what if u hit a ferrari and have no insurance"?

You do realise that giving a fake name for insurance (even if it's your mum) is illegal?

Not to mention, if you insure your own car in your mum's name, then modify it illegally, then have an accident/crash and give your mum's details, iy says to me you obviously don't like your mum.
In that situation, you pay your mum her excess.
Then she deals with the claims, the ruined rating, all her insurance policies go up in price, and any legal issues to do with the crash (claims for injury etc) are in her name.

Sorry, the only proper, legal, and honourable ways to do it are:

Insure in an adults name, LISTING YOU AS THE DRIVER, and in an accident give your OWN name.
or
Insure the car in your own name, pay the bit extra each year and enjoy being a rating one when you're off your Ps and get cheap insurance.

Then simply don't do any mods.
If they aren't legal for insurance or the road, either don't do it, or do it, and don't complain when your insurance is invalid, and you're getting harrassed by police.

Yes, you spelled ombudsman correctly.
