on the avo instructions they also pressurize the motor with compressed air so as the drill starts to penetrate into the sump the shaving get blown out away from the hole, i used this method, very effective. I just wrapped a rag around the air gun and got some one to blow it into the oil cap hole as i drilled.

Hi guys,
Actually im bolting on the turbo myself at the moment...
Come to a little hiccup on how to bolt on and mount the intercooler... The brackets that AVO gave me are not even matching with the body of the car and having some serious problems.
Does anyone know what to do or where i can go so the net can help me?

We did do it finally.
However it doesnt have any brakets to bolt on under the bonnet.
I did some customized bracketing.
Thanks for your help though.
Engine should be going in tomorrow and then do all the intercooler piping.

Magnets work really well for this too.
I had to remove a snapped fuel-rail bolt from the engine block using Easy-Outs and I was worried about iron filings getting inside the engine block (and all over the place). I had a couple of old computer hard drives around so I pulled them apart and grabbed their magnets - these are incredibly powerful. I stuck them either side of the broken bolt and reverse-drilled slowly. It's surprising the amount of iron filings created by drilling with just a drill bit, let alone the Easy-Out. I'm betting the magnets caught every iron filing.
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

You're kidding? Mine fitted perfectly and it wasn't even for my shape (NB kit on NA)

No joke.
Had to get brackets from Bunnings, bend them and all sorts of things. Did that and the intercooler is firmly stable.
Isnt going anywhere!

Are you sure you were trying to mount it in the right spot? From memory the tabs on my cooler lined up to the captive nuts in the body, and the NB piping kit lined up perfectly on my NA
