I thought they had only developed these for LHD? Would almost consider getting an NC if these are available for RHD!

A few RHD cars in the UK have installed them.

The sniper tune works the following.
You plug in the snipper and take a reading of your current map.
Email it to sniper.
Sniper email back a revised map.
Upload new map to the ecu.
Done.

It works with all ecu's as the alter your original map to suit boost.
If you get the sniper software you can then alter the sniper supplied tune to suit any further mods you do. i.e. Headers, exhaust, CAI etc.
I'm waiting for my tax return and the exchange rate to improve but I will be doing it...... maybe.

Do a google search for the uk suppplier and stop being lazzy

Don't waste your money on sniper - I was the first in Australia to get the sniper gear.

Baseline was 105rwkw - Done by Vin a Subaru Australia. - Includes GWR midpipe, muffler and AEM CAI.

After the tune I was down to 100rwkw. Pat from sniper didn't believe it!

I must admit this was simply a mail order sniper. - I sent the data back he edited the file and sent it back,

To get it done properly in Melbourne it was at least 1500 bucks - it would be the first NC done..

A waste of 550 bucks.

The sniper tune is included in the price of the CSC kit so there is no other option. I also believe its a new system vastly better than the last but I cant answer that for sure as I have no personal experience with either.
Give me a Wolf ECU and its a different story!

In defence of the Sniper, you do also have to consider a few things. For starters, the complexity of the ECU in the NC is far beyond that of the NB/NA, for example, ignition-dash-engine ECU are all uniquely tied to each other in each car! Then there are the other features of the Sniper which are very NC specific, eg. switching off the torque dial-back.

As for tuning, you wouldn't consider anything other than a proper dyno tune, surely? I mean, if your splashing out on kit like this supercharger, i dyno tune with someone who actually knew what they were doing would be the only way to go.

Argh, i hate you! Jealousy daggers in your general direction!!!

Ohlins seem to be the default choice amongst NC owners in Japan. I guess, they are an exceptional coilover by all reports.

Did you get to hear/experience the car? Did Nobuhiro-san offer any thoughts?

250hp is about 183kw right? That could be very handy in keeping the MX5 ahead of the pack. 8)

Like CoffeeBoss I'm very jealous you get to see all kinds of aftermarket parts for the MX5.

Wow, $20K for headers! Sure you didn't add an extra zero? (hang on, I may have added a zero!!)

I hope ORX took pix of his project to show them.

Fixed!

At current exchange, that's A$2800.00. Ouch.

Good point Bruce - i take it they were suitably impressed by "The Project"? There's no Renesis powered NC's in Japan that we know of, are there? Just that NOPRO 2.3L NC.
