I'd be happy to oblige mate but I left it 1,500kms away in a garage as I don't have anywhere secure to park it down here

Re: NitroDann turbo mx5 part 1
looking at the video I noticed the curve in the car matches the curve in the bend. i'd say and I am open to opinions from others - that car would be quicker around a left hand bend than a right!
apart from that bend in the photo -it does appear quick

Re: NitroDann turbo mx5 part 1
Got the car... am I happy?? Bloody hell yeh! It was well worth the 3 hr train ride... and the 2 hr drive back was just FUN! Getting up to 110km/hr was effortless..
I bought this car with turbo installed... trying to cut the story short, through sheer luck, it turned out that NitroDann was the one that installed it... I got the car for a few days and decided to go see Dann... it sure was fun and very responsive.. but the tune was off and power came on like a hammer. Now, the delivery is smooth and the torque curve is almost as straight as a ruler... stock NA8 engine with a small T28 ball bearing turbo and it's pulling 160kw, 215HP.. The exhaust before was, to put it nicely, obnoxious (waiting for police to pull me over) !! Dann fabricated a new exhaust for me and now it's a sleeper... I went all the way and got an engineering certificate and Dann handled everything...
Dann is very humble and sure knows his stuff! again, it's well worth the trip to see him! Would I recommend him to mates - YES!

Re: NitroDann turbo mx5 part 1
Really depends on what must be done to pass everything... Eg. I had to have an exhaust made to pass emission and sound. Also must have an airbox... And something that I've learnt - that M shape roll bar, because it didn't have a sticker that says it's NOT a roll bar, I had to remove it to pass ..
on general basis.. the cert would cost around $1500-$2k.. I had one done yongs ago for my S15 and it was about $1800.
