Well I am running an NA8 at 165kw and it's been running like this for years without a worry.
I hardly think it needs any more power either. Not for the tracks that i have been on at least
1.6 or 1.8 turbo build

May as well get the NA8 if an MX5 hasn't been bought yet. When the mod bug hits you'll probably also want to upgrade other things like rear diff & chassis bracing both of which will cost you less to do in the long run if starting with an NA8 instead.

Bigger better.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)
