Hey all,
I'm currently replacing all nine water hoses on my SE and I have one left over!
Either I can't see the forest for the trees (and it's sitting there looking at me), or it's buried so deep it will be a proper bugger to replace.
I'd be ever so grateful if someone may be able to tell me where it lives.
Many thanks in advance...

Re: Help wanted to locate mystery SE water hose
Guessing - under dash, on the firewall, could it be for the coolant overflow bottle?

Re: Help wanted to locate mystery SE water hose
I don't think you could replace it without pulling the turbo, it would at least be a huge pain. It connects to the hard water line that goes from the water pump inlet to the heater. On the SE only, it also has a barb that splits off to this rubber hose and is covered by some heat reflecting cloth wrap. I hope that makes sense.

Re: Help wanted to locate mystery SE water hose
Thanks for the help gents.
I had a good look around on the interweb, but never even considered looking in an online parts listing!
So, for those who find this thread in a future search, the hose appears to feed cooling water to/from the turbo and is found wrapped in a heatproof braid under the heat shield.
I looked at it for a fair while and figured I'd need to pull the exhaust manifold as a minimum; with a distinct possibility that the turbo may have to be removed too. I reckon the Mazda engineers must have started with this hose and then built the car around it!
Needless to say, I hope the hose doesn't fail before I next have the motor out or the turbo off. At least I'll have a spare on hand!
Thanks again...
