So a few months ago I was having misfiring issue and sometimes the car would switch off on me, I blamed it on my immobilizer, since then have removed it and the problem went away.
But just recently had to replace a coolant hose, I had to remove the coil packs as they were in the way, I noticed my crank angle sensor plug is cracked.
I had the car on this morning, touched the plug and the car switched off, possibly due to loose connection, I want to replace the plug, where can I purchase it? And is it just a connector and I'll have to solder it or is it a section off the loom I can buy?

It is a fairly busy plug, so whilst you could replace it, it would require soldering in many wires... I think 6 at least, maybe 8... as it bundles in the injectors and the coil packs... so lots going on in that part of the harness.
Good news is that section (including the injector wiring and coil pack, O2 sensor etc) is a single unit that is removable on its own. So whilst you may need to remove a few things to untangle it from the intake, you can remove it and replace it.
I'd suggest one of the forum sponsors at 1st attempt and then try some of the online/OS places to see how you get on.
This is what I'm talking about...

Thanks for the detailed response, I just hoping to replace the plastic connector, anyone know where I can grab one?
