Swift Springs on Stock SE Shocks

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Swift Springs (product code 4Z901) will fit on the stock suspension in the SE?

Are they made for the MX5/Miata?


If they are MX5 springs, and for an NB, they should fit.

Yeah in the process of.

Yes from this PDF http://www.swiftsprings.com/file/SportSprings.pdf but wasn't 100% sure because theres no listing for the SE which comes with upgraded Bilstein shocks compared to the ordinary MX-5. The SE also sits lower so I'm presuming there is a difference in springs also

I always thought the SE springs were interchangable with the non-SE springs.

The difference was in spring rate, and height (height was I think 5mm different)



Either way, both height and rate will be different on the new springs anyway.

Just double check with the SE guys if the springs are the same fitment as the normal NB (I'm pretty sure they are, but I've never looked closely at SE srpings)

I would be interested to know too..

Been looking at FM springs and Eibach race springs.
I want to lower the car but the Flying Miata springs with higher rate will get the rear at 13.5 which is higher than I wanted. I would like to 12.5 Front and 13.0 rears..

Higher spring rate is fine with me. I have checked with a reputable Bilstein service place and they said higher than OEM spring rate on these shocks are OK and no need to revalve..

Looking at the Swift spring list, I would prefer higher spring rate than that...
Swift springs are almost the same as SE standard spring rate.

Okay I checked with kamispeed.com and Saku there said they will fit fine. Apparently they're a discontinued product though so not many places will have them

The SE sits 7mm lower than the regular NB.

Agreed that 13.5" at the rear would make the car look ridiculous, the OEM wheel arch gap is already too big.

12.5" front and 13.0" rear looks too high to me too.

As a guide, 12.0" front and 12.5" rear is about as low as you want to go before you have to worry about dragging your arse over speed bumps (my car is just a tad under these so I have to be careful over speed humps). The car does look better lowered IMO.

You should consider coilovers too, they give you the advantage of configuring your ride height and controllable damping.
