Hi everyone,
For those who don't know I sold my 2001NB and bought a NA8.
I have been thinking of going FI for a while now and want some advice.
I am leaning towards supercharging, but maybe someone can convince me otherwise.
Don't want anything too wild for now, I want to run with a stock engine, just a basic setup. With the car being
so light its still going to be a rocket at 10psi or so.
This is a first for me and basically what I want to know is which kits should I be looking at? Which ones are simplest to install? I've seen a few
kits using the powercard with base maps installed, but I've heard some users don't like them, why? Can I get away with the base maps alone without
going to an expensive tuner?
Any advice on the different kits, supercharged or turbo and where to buy from would be appreciated. Is there any customs duties when importing
from USA? Sorry for all the questions, I really want to do this, just want some expert advice first.
Thanks guys,
PS: will load pic of new NA soon.
Want to go FI, need help.

If you haven't already, have a look at this thread:

Then perhaps take a look at the relevant threads this year in:
viewforum.php?f=81
That'll bring you reasonably upto date with SC'ing in Aust.

If I were you Mazfan I would get on out to the RAC driver Training centre on Sunday morning and talk to the guys from the MX5 club of WA running their 3rd Autotest.
There will be guys with turbos there and a wealth of knowledge.
If your not a member of the club come along and see what's happening, you might want to join the club and join in on the fun.
Cheers.
