Hi guys. Im Based in Brisbanes Bayside (Cleveland).
And my poor but well loved Red MX5 is needing a Super Charger.
Guys Im after ANYONE who has done this to just PM me there phone number, so I may give them a quick call to pick there brains briefly.

It's wiser to ask those who have done it, then trying to start and do it myself.

I was originally going to upgrade the motor to a 1.8 then buy a Super Charger.
But if I can get a good result with my current 1.6, I would be one happy person!

Thanks, and I am eagerly awaiting a reply.

Supa, I reckon you should PM orx626. He's supercharged his 1.8L MX5, and his general knowledge of mechanical engineering and MX5's is amazing. He's a good bloke and should be able to help you out.

On my 1.6 with M45 I get about 150 RWHP, compared to 85ish in standard trim. You certainly notice the difference

Hi Supa

Its definitely noticeable, getting up to speed on an onramp, overtaking etc are all very much easier than the old n/a 1.6 Its hard to convey just how noticeable it is in writing really. If you have the money to do it and enjoy your car then I definitely think it is money well spent. For me the only drawback is having a crappy idle and cold start at the moment (MSPNP currently managing everything), hopefully that will all change in the next few months though.

You would certainly think this information would help me.
But it's only making it more painful, as I still dont have a Super Charger yet.

Now folks, the Million Dollar Question.... (Even after scouring this forum and seeing various posts on this subject, I will post the following)

What is The RECOMENDED Brand of Super Charger for the 1.6 ?
And who is it best to purchase from. Im going to get one now that the US Dollar is soooo Good.

Thanks in advance everyone for your comments.
