My handbook says the battery in my new 2002 is not a maintenance free one. Do I need to haul it out, or get into the boot occasionally to check it?
Are there any other things to look out for?
I've been using a battery life extender fluid instead of battery water in other cars, with good results, should I use it here if top ups are needed?

Re: Battery care
Hi,
There is a possibility that the battery has been replaced, it will not hurt to get it out , make sure that it is the correct type of battery, check that the tray and the terminals are clean and that the bracket is functioning, check the venting system to ensure that it is working properly (if you are uncertain about this then speak with someone who will know what is required) put it all back together and give the terminals a wipe of Vaseline then and go for a drive .
Cheers.
Greg.

When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?
