Hi all, I am looking at buying a spoon n1 muffler and having an exhaust shop convert it over to my na6 as they are only made for Hondas. I was wondering if anyone knew which model I should buy (for example made for a dc2, ek5 ect.) that would be easier to convert over to the mx5. Also if anyone has had any experience in doing so? Thanks in advance.

While I haven't got any experience with muffler fitment, I am interested in improving the exhaust note of my NA6. Is there a reason you aren't considering the similar Skunk2 unit that they sell, and infer is compatible with the car? Franky, by the time it's fitted to an MX5 you'll basically only have the muffler itself left. The exhaust shop will in most cases need to cut off the existing pipework and bend up replacement stuff that lines up with an MX5.



It's your money, but at the end of the day nearly $700 is a LOT of money for a cannon muffler and some pipe that you'll be chucking in the bin anyway.

I'd just buy a generic cannon muffler (if that's the look you want) and get the shop to weld that in.
