All you can really find on the net is people rough figures out of thin air. I'm probably best to give an engineer a call and talk to them. But I'm more curious of what people have payed in the past.

The costs in NSW have not changed significantly since the intial post that was written back in 06. I suspect a big change will be coming in the very near future, the NCOP is going to cause a massive shake-up with things, it's commonly assumed engineering signatories insurance premiums will head through the roof (as the required certifications to become registered are actually moving LOWER) which will no doubt impact on the cost of attaining a certificate from such a signatory.
It'd be nice to think they would standardise pricing on them to make the market more stable, but I don't expect that will happen...
