Hard top side striker plate install

Postby Jeo » Sun Jun 14, 2009 6:33 pm

Tools needed: Dremel, star head screw driver (no idea what its actually called).
Time taken: 15min
Difficulty: Trained chimp accessible

1. Mark holes where bolts need to go

2. Drill holes for bolts and progressively make holes bigger until the striker plate fits. I started with the cutting tool, then eventually worked up to a small grinding tool. This is only a halfway done photo, you will need to clean off the burred bits.

3. Bolt striker plate into place

Tada!

If you are uncertain where to cut the hole you can pull the plastic trim off and on the other side there is a guide imprinted into the plastic showing where to cut
