I’m keen to have a go around Lakeside but a whole day of regularity!

You can go as fast as you like and not bother about winning regularity. Doesn't really matter, the point is you get to drive around Lakeside. I have some WOT tuning to do. Data is good.

All the more of a challenge. Lap time consistency is harder to achieve than just going for the lowest time.

Yeah definitely harder. Just wish they’d split the day.

Well, the first part is go as hard as you can to get a time to set and then drive to that time. Best of both worlds. Alternatively, just drive as hard as you like and collect points.

I guess everybody who is serious will have lap timers in their cars. Personally I don't like the distractions caused by tech gadgets, I like to remain focused on the track and conditions around me. Too many buttons to press and not much spare time on Lakeside to be looking at screens. These old NA's keep the driver plenty busy. Not like the arm chair ride NC's.

LAP TIMERS? At a regularity event?
The regularities down here are (AFAIK) all strictly seat of the pants and pit boards ... what is the point if you have a timer?
Someone say it isn't so ...

In-car lap timers are banned for such events and the speedo should also be covered. However, no one polices it and, after all, it is a fun charity event. Fines (donations for transgressions) can be issued.

To do a consistent 85 sec lap of Lakeside for me is 5th gear and no shift lights.

What about a 59.99?
