Lotus Lakeside Driver Training Centre timed laps Sunday 27/8

Lotus DTC is on again soon. This is a heaps big fun day on the Lakeside DTC track.
It's like a horizontal hill climb, but with nothing to hit unless you mess up mega-big time. Standing start/flying finish. Each run is about 50 seconds, and they turn 'em over pretty fast so it's a busy day. It's a challenging short course on bitumen, and I think the skid pan section is concrete. Whatever... there's ups and downs, variable grip levels, and turns aplenty. The Lakeside Driver Training Centre is at the rear of Lakeside Raceway main track.
It's also a round of the Inter-club Challenge so there will be plenty of interesting machinery to look at and compete against. The MX-5 club is doing quite well in the ICC, and this event is well suited to our cars as it favours agility over power.
To compete, you'll need:
Your signed original entry form
Racers Clubman licence (or higher)
Civil license
Your car in good condition (it will be inspected)
The usual safety gear
CTP letter (if you car is QLD rego'd)
Your car club membership card
If you've been doing QR or Lakeside sprints you should be good to go.

I'd encourage you all to have a crack at this event. It's intense, it's fun, it's challenging. And a lot less intimidating than a "real" hillclimb. Plus, you'll get a lot of satisfaction seeing your little MX high on the scoreboard.
