HSCCQ are hosting khanacross this Sunday,in the car parks behind the Willowbank Drag Strip.

If you haven't tried khanacross it's best described as a horizontal hillclimb, but standing-start to standing-finish. Courses are normally 1st to 3rd gear up to 100 kph, sprinting between pretty tight corners, and lasting about 1 minute. Google "HSCCQ Khanacross" for video.

It's a come'n'try and full competition event, which means you can get a 1 day HSSCQ membership and CAMS day license for $25. The entry fee is cheap at $45 for grown ups, and $30 for juniors. Details are here: http://www.hsccq.com/index.php/event/hsccq-khanacross2/?eID=19

You do need a CTP extension, so you'd need to get that TOMORROW if you are thinking about attending.

Preparation requirements are similar to our own track days, except you also need an in-date fire extinguisher. Your car will be scrutineered for basic safety items: brake pedal, belts, tyres, leaks etc. You need a helmet and neck-wrist-ankle cotton clothing.

I'll be heading out and staying 'til about 1:00pm. I hope to see some other fives out there. BAPs apply for this one.
