IWMAC have a come n try day this Saturday, 19th September.
These are great events to get some experience driving at the limit and learn car control. It is a hard packed dirt surface - yes, your car will get dirty. There are usually a number of experienced drivers there to ride shotgun and give you some pointers.
Cost is $40 + $25 if you need a cams day license.
Car requires a fire extinguisher, standard track day attire needed and a ctp extension.
More details can be found on the website. They prefer entry to be done on line.

There is also a sprint event on the following day for those wishing to race the clock.

Is this possible to do if you have never done a come and try day?

Yup, that's how most people start mark. It's just that laps / $ is better on a come and try.

This is the last come and try event this year...
Magpie - you can enter without doing the come and try. No problem. Hit me up if you have questions.

Entered. Might give a red NA a shakedown.

Re: SAT 19/9 DIRT SPRINT COME N TRY DAY
I have been wanting to give this a 'go' for a while now, and the 'stars seem to align'!:) Confusion=
The online entry link seems to require that you join the Club to enter. The text of the event advert seems to suggest that there is a way to circumvent this for the 'come and try' day.
The reality pls:-?

You can Enter and pay on the day - easy as.
The main event on Sunday really needs the online entry so they can sort out running order for classes, but you could speak to them about it on saturday.
