I've entered one of the Khanacross events run by the Holden Sporting Car Club of Queensland on 23 November. (The event details are at
www.hsccq.com)
It's on bitumen at Willowbank. I've not done Khanacross before, but it sounds like long-form motorkhana.
Has any one done any of these before?
Is there anyone else planning to attend?

I think this what you would call "Autocross", looking at your youtubes. One of the courses will be a variation of this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85MApLBN-wM&list=UUhHkFlPfcdOZ--FxmQdJT6QNot many from here frequent the KhanaX and Motorkhanas, but there are a few regular MX-5 punters. I myself will be out there helping, but probably not competing, as I have banned myself for a while.
Congrats on your scorching 50.02 at Mt Cotton. That is a brilliant time for a novice.

I'll be there with my son sharing our silver NA. Say gidday.
KhanaX certainly is an extension of Motorkhana with no (intentional) reversing and a faster more open course.
HSCCQ are a great bunch, very relaxed & friendly with many low cost events.
... And the clip you watched is my son Jeremy driving. They are good courses.
Cheers
Peter

CapitalF just pointed out that between he, his son and myself, we cleaned up the top three places outright in this event, in Mx5's from a field of 30 cars.
Nice work Peter (1st) and Jeremy (2nd)!
Although this was a Holden Sporting Car Club of Queensland event, there was not a single Holden entry. Even the V8 RX7 managed to not have a GM engine.
It would be nice to see some more Mx5 competition next year.

Holden in name only, almost.
All makes welcome. It's primarily a Motorkhana and KhanaX club.
There are a couple of Commodores competing, and a few members are just there for Club rego for their oldies.
Like most clubs, we never see most members.
