Cue 1 Hour Queensland Raceway.

October 12th, 13th & 14th.
Queensland Raceway.
Friday, practice.
Saturday, Drivers race, Co-drivers race.
Sunday, 1 hour race with driver change.

Paul (crewman) and I are running Scooter so hopefully we will see some forum member come out and show support for members who race in the Prodsports Series.

We will be needing a car controller or someone to assist with the driver change, for Sunday only.
The car controller needs to man the lap board to mainly wake me up and to tell me WTF to come in for the change over,
also needs to have BIGgonads to stand in the pit area in front of ME to stop me in the right pit bay.

The driver assist person will need to rip me out of the car (after I taken the harness off preferably ) and help Paul to do up his belts and hand him the drink tube.

We're not going to be competitive just filling up the grid, BUT we will be having fun and just being a bunch of petrol heads living the dream.

So if you want to come your more than welcome. If your coming from Bribie/Caboolture at this stage a coach will be coming out to show support
for us.More when I know exactly who's doing what!! ( this is advantage of being sponsored by your company 8) )

So I'll keep you up to date.
So far there are as of Thursday 31 entries, including Chris from MX5 Racing and a few others from down south.

Cheers

Terry

Hey Terry,

Yep there's a few of us from down here heading up for all fun, action and piss taking that goes on at these events.... I think we will be doing some racing too

There are a few of my Targa crews and friends that plan to come out over the weekend so hopefully we will have plenty of people to help out if you're running short.

I've got 2 NC's entered and plan to have a drive myself. Hopefully Ferrabee will be there - I understand he is out of retirement again but struggling to get the Zimmer frame into the car with him  :P

and help Paul to do up his belts and hand him the drink tube.
Drink tube - you're all going soft in your old age!! Anyway it wont be hot... it's always raining in Qld
Used to be we only had to worry about carrying wets to Phillip Island, now we have to take them to "sunny" Qld too.

Should be an awesome weekend!!

See you there.

Just give me a yell, its nothing to do with the office.
Some of the drivers and staff wanted to come and watch so a bus was offered.

An awesome weekend of racing for the Downer / Targa Racing MX5's in the 3rd round of the CUE Prod Sports one hour at Qld Raceway.

Mark Mackay and Justin Ruggier finished 3rd in E class and first NC home and Nick Martinenko and I were 1st MX5 home finishing 3rd in C class behind the Porsche and Ginetta. I got tagged early in the race dicing with the class wining 944 which bent a track rod and meant the car was interesting on the fast right handers (not that there is many of them at Qld raceway   )

Many thanks to Tony B and his lovely wife Roz for their hospitality, Patsy for keeping us fed and Joe, Rohan and Robyn for the great pit work.

I had an awesome dice with Tony B and Russell and we had some very close, clean racing.

Was great to catch up with all of our Qld friends and get the chance to make some new ones. Overall it was a terrific weekend and we all enjoyed QLD raceway.

All 3 NC's prepared by the Targa Racing team never missed a beat all weekend

As Chris said, great weekend.

Used lots of fuel, lots of rubber and came home with a complete car, no mechanical concerns at all, so a good race meet.

Also have to thank the fast peeps ( and ƒü¢k they were fast ) for making our racing count and showing respect that was returned.

So good safe racing all round.

Now just to make more horses and I'll be happy

Terry
PS: a BIG thanks to Jaron (corners) and Joey.

Thanks to everyone for some great racing, and Henry who had one of the best battles I seen with Steve in the Hydra-Wash NC, I lost count of how many times they traded places, Henry became the eventual winner when Steve parked the car in the sand at turn 3.
Hopefully Steve will get the chance to even up the score at Phillip Island.

And a Special Thanks to Cal, appreciate the work you put in to organise things.
