Hi all,
I have entered this event. I am hoping to see some local and out of town fives there. Motorkhana is great fun. If you are headed to the Sprints for a look see, why not consider competing in the motorkhana. You can then be a participant as well as a spectator. Don't be put off by the Queensland Championship monicker.... for most it is just a bit of fun, and all are welcome.

Spotted a few fives up at Maryborough... two in khana and two in the sprints.
Khana was great if a bit underbscribed. We ended up doing the last three long courses in the dark as we had to wait for the sprints to finish to get a long piece of tarmac.
I personally had a blast even though my driving was crap. I kept kissing the flags as I came to handbrake turns too tight. Only one WD though, in the dark. Also came in to a finish garage too hot and partly detached my front lip on a kerb. Zip ties are my friend.
I also learned how to get 4 full size 215 tyres into an MX5 with a cage and hardtop.

The sprint course looks pretty good, except for one corner exit being through a gate. The corner with the blue MX in is a beauty... off a short straight, it is right hander tightening to about 150 degrees with a dip in the apex. A wonderful array of wacked out racecars and serious DDs were there. From a fish-out-of-water Nascar to a Goggomobile. It was good to see the XP that was badly damaged at Noosa last weekend was revived and seeming to run strongly.
