Well, that will make it interesting. Actually, the prospect of wet conditions doesn't worry me. If it's wet, it's wet - it was a bit scary at Lakeside in April last year but I got through the day pretty comfortably with no real scares. Just want to keep the same attitude of staying within my abilities - I've developed quite a bit since then. Just a shame for the club.

Yr (http://www.yr.no/place/Australia/Queens ... /long.html) suggests it'll only be 1 or 2 mm and that the rain might only be mid-morning on, so we may have some dry running early. Our modelling is pretty much in line with that at the moment, suggesting late morning (probably 11 am onwards) with very light falls initially, approaching very slowly from the south.

It's not like we have the engine in the back now, is it?

Our modelling's improved as well, showing Warwick clear of light rain to the south east until the fringe (< 0.2 mm per hour, so just drizzle really) just approaches around 4 pm. Might be a wet drive home for those of heading back to Brisbane that afternoon.

The driver's a cell predicted to come from the south along the coast that'll be just off the coast of Port Mac around midnight Friday. Its closest approach to Warwick will be around 4 pm Saturday afternoon. I'll keep an eye on how the predictions develop but I'm guessing the trend is for it to slow which works for us.

I'll keep the thread updated with how our predictions develop.

For those doing the SDT session on the Sunday it is now from 0900 to 1400 so more track time

Weather tracking:
- Yr showing damp morning, dry afternoon
- our modelling showing the opposite, with very light rain starting mid-morning and trending heavier through the day. Slight deterioration from yesterday.
