I like the part where the low is below 20 for once!

So everyone should be having a quiet and early night tonight, ready to be up nice and early for the drive to Warwick.

gates should be open at 7:30 for us, and that is the time I am aiming to be there at. Not sure which car yet, will see, but am leaning to the 5 for a last run for at least a month.

Leave at 5, get into Warwick to fill up and then hopefully it'll be about 7.30 by then.

I'll be the one taking a nap at the gate if by some amazing stretch I get there early :P

I'll be leaving Brisbane at 5:30, grab a sausage roll and snot block for brekkie at Aratula and arrive at 7:30. Nice easy run and only 1.5 hours from my place.

A full tank at Brisbane should see you do the drive up there the track runs and plenty to get into town to fill up. And Warwick petrol prices are usually cheaper than Brisbane, well they have been the last few times I have been out that way. So gives you more time for sleeping

Sleeping? Soz, track time excitement hasn't worn off for me yet - still like a kid the night before Christmas.

I like my sleep....

There are pictures of me at race meetings sitting in the dummy grid all kitted up pushing out Zeds, or was that just reaching a Zen like state of awareness and getting into the zone????

No, that was just pictures of you driving a Zed!

Car is almost fully prepped - just need to do tyre psi adjustments and fuel tonight. Oil and filter change yesterday, new diff oil last weekend, brake fluid a few weeks ago - ready to go! :D

I'm aiming to leave home soon after 5am from inner city, so should give me plenty of time in Warwick to brim the tank and get a quick bite to eat somewhere first...

Changing cars, I was going to take the NB, but have just finished fitting new dba 4000 rotors and hawk blue pads on the front of the NA. In the nick of time! Planning on leaving around 5 am from the bayside. Fueled up, loaded up. Feeling like a kid in a candy store! :D

Well that was an excellent time at Morgan Park. :)
Many thanks to Mattr and the SDT team who ran the day and provided the training. The bonus extra hour was a welcome surprise.
I had to pop into Warwick to visit rellies and got home just after 4:00pm....I won't need much rocking tonight.

Just got home, stopped in at the nest to clean off the bugs I accrued on the way there and dust while I was there ;)

Awesome day, thanks Matt for nudging me to sign up, super glad I did. Morgan Park is certainly different.

If only it wasn't so far away! Going to need to bring someone next time to drive me home - bloody tired after that.
Because reasons.

Thanks to the guys who came out and tried Morgan Park. Was a hot drive home for me in the sun, but a fun day, now watching the recorded events from this morning from Melbourne, got home in time to watch qually.

Next day is on the 18th July, so hopefully we will get a few to come along.

Yeah, that was bloody fantastic, never had so much fun, Thanks Mattr and the rest of the SDT team, Morgan Park was a revelation, my brother has been hassling me to go for years, I should have listened to him. Time for nice cup of tea! Morgan Park was just fantastic, lots of challenging track time without excessive speed. Great place for learners like me.

cheers

Bit far away, but I'm keen for the July date with a view to getting some tuition in the car, and if anyone is else keen to grab dinner and drinks, staying the night. I'm guessing they have some decent pubs and cheap accom out that way ??

Next SDT on 18 July is the Saturday before the July Lakeside 20 July Monday MX5 club sprints. I'll have to choose between them. Cant see myself doing both.
