My last dry day at Lakeside was July 27th last year. Itching for good weather. If it's wet, the cold air will be wasted :(

Last night it was showing lightish rain all day on the 20th. Slightly more optimistic now.

Try this one, I have set it do Narangba which is the closest location to the track

Second thoughts I should have left it!! :(

Cold air now fitted Ross, 2 windows down and an early morning drive!

If I was a betting man, I'd say that rain's going to be after 5pm. Still feeling positive we'll get a dry run.

Hey Roger, (and others), since I have invested in an optimistic committment to the 'return' of the Turbonator for this coming track day, choosing to believe in the 'little ray of sunshine:)
I therefore offer this consolatary truism garnered from my half century of being significantly dependant on weather in the plying of my craft;
"there are Fools, Damm Fools, and Weather Forecasters!!
Apologies in advance to any Meterologists in the Forum family

The trouble with weather forecasting is that it’s right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it. - Patrick Young

Forecast now showing a light shower in the morning.

The Jaffa got a service during the week, and I got some Superpro sway bar bushings put in, have got those to try plus the short shifter, so it'll be a good time on Monday. Can't wait.

Best idea is to wake up Monday and see what's going down.

I've been moving house this weekend
I might have to get up early Monday to find some track tyres, and mm where did I put that Sparco?
Might just have to come in the Mazda 6 with the box trailer full of furniture - might have to drop to group 3 though :-)

Where's the fun in that? It's fun to speculate on something we have no control over and a limited ability to predict!

Forecast has deteriorated again to show rain pretty much all day

Car and paperwork ready. I'm leaving the Toyos on...again. I wanted to rub whats left off my set of KU36s but they might be very slippery in damp conditions - worn to the wear indicators. Looks like Max will clock up 99,000km at some stage tomorrow too.

I had swapped my wheels left to right to even out the wear on them, but looking at the forecast I've swapped them back. Hoping for the best, expecting constant light rain to ruin any chance of a Pb though. It was fun enough last time there in the rain, and the semis haven't worn much further since then. Should be fine.
