I only have notification from NRMA with my rego renewal that they were getting out of CTP, which I got because the S14 was with them.
The NA is with Suncorp and I didn't get any notification with my rego renewal in August.

Suncorp are not getting out of CTP. There was a misunderstanding earlier in this thread which caused confusion. Please go back to 15 Oct 13 and read it all. Here is the essence:

JBT wrote:AAI is Suncorp. I requested and received my CTP motorsport extension by email from Suncorp last week. It is on Suncorp letterhead.
Current licensed CTP insurers: http://www.maic.qld.gov.au/ctp-premium/ ... rers.shtml
Old news on NRMA CTP: http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensl ... 2sshh.html
The only company exiting the Qld CTP market is NRMA but current insurance will be honoured until expiry.
Also note that you can contact Suncorp now if you want to change your CTP to them at rego renewal time and it will happen automatically. http://www.suncorp.com.au/sites/default ... 1&2473PSEM
Contact Suncorp by email at ctpbiz@suncorp.com.au for your CTP extension. They are quite efficient.

Just 3 weeks to go!
NOTE: NRMA is getting out of CTP Insurance altogether as of I think 1-1-2014 I asked the question what happens from that date until your registration comes around for renewal, no specific answer except that they would have to issue 'extensions' until your CTP expired
OK - so what other Companies DONT charge for the CTP?
Suncorp, via phone or email. Friendly and helpful, email with CTP usualy within 2hrs.. Unfortunately you can only switch on rego renewal, I had to go through NRMA at A$10 a pop and 30 min on the phone for two track days now the red car has to go through RACQ for the next 2 events. Same deal, A$10 a pop and 30 mins on the phone.
Please ring Gillian on 07-3352 3581 and the fees charged will be gladly refunded - she assumes you must have gone thru NSW Office and they simply have NO idea!! I have spoken with her and NRMA very happy to rectify this for you Sonke
Just went through my records and the CTP extensions were with RACQ not NRMA, my fault. My apologies to NRMA.

Great to hear Cal, he's having so much fun every time I see him!!

Mine's in with the guys at Automotive Plus next Tuesday for oil change [HKS whatever!] and check over, it's running fine and loves the high revving, always runs even better after a track day although this time I doubt I will PB, confidence is a little down

I gave it a kick today as I walked past it today.....

It was looking good from what I saw from the roller door.
I gave Automotive + a touch of class today dropping off the dirty datsun for the cage to be built.

The 2 biggest smiles you'll see on his face is when he is holding his grand daughter and when he steps out of that car. ;)
