It ran silky smooth with plenty of track time for all entrants!!! It has really set a precendent for the remaining four track events!
Cheers,
Danny
Ditto. Thank you very much to all the organisers and volunteers.
Uhmm.... can I make a wee bit of constructive criticism?
Please don't just count the laps done by the front car of each group?
I was the last car each time my group went out (group 3), and I got short-changed a lap, most of the time, because I was overtaken by the front guy after my first or second lap because by the time I went out, the front runner has already completed 3/4 of a lap.
No biggie, just thought I would bring it to attention

Just keep up

We will try to sort that issue out with the lap counters/flaggies on the next event.
Now that we have the beginnings of a known lap time database we will hopefully be able to group people more closely with similar times. The other problem we try to avoid is having 15 in one group........but then only 5 in another - something has to give.
It would be handy if we could get another volunteer to help sort groupings at check-in

We need everyone to be there by 10:30am with all the required forms completed.
If we have 40 starters and we spend 1 minute with each person, it will take at least 40 minutes to just get the check-in completed. If some then have to go and fill in a form, add a couple of minutes for them and before you know it, check-in takes well over an hour and groupings etc. get rushed.
Bring on 10 June

Many thanks to Tony and JBT and the rest of the volunteers for a great day!!
Now for the d**k head of the day award, goes to ME!!!
Told SWMBO that I'll have to do somethings to the car as I'm so far off the pace it ain't funny (can\"t drive for sh*t but thats me) so this morning take the beast out of the shed and bugger me what do I find,
1; a/c is on (whoops)
2; NEVER trust an aircraft engineer to repair your cruise( might be good at fixing planes but can't make brackets to save his life)
Found that the bracket bent up under WOT and jammed the throttle at 3/4 and wouldn't allow full throttle, ok under normal driving but no good for track days!!!!
Still my own silly fault for not checking before track day,
so down to Mazda on Monday to order new bracket and cable.
Still had a ball, and come June hopefully MIGHT be able to better times.
Thanks to Gerard and Danny for helping a newbie, much appreciated!!
Thanks again to all who ran such a great day.
Terry
