I've just got a new car...

Going to see if I can get it ready for this event, if not I'll be making the next one for sure...

Agree Craig - NRMA used to be the same from their Stafford Office

Always good to watch them Stu - I should have called in on the way back from the Surgeon but I was just working out to get home with Bribie Island Road closed in both directions for the morning :(

Nigel - gonna us what it is or a surprise? Regardless, will be good to catch up

PS: Surgeon rescheduled today back for about 3 weeks as more 'major' than first thought and made sure it's NOT on or before 20 July!

Also called in and saw Jason & Deanne at Automotive Plus and thanked for the excellent service last Tuesday, I say the NB has never been better than it is now!! Thanks guys, very much appreciated

I have emailed Compsec, and even paid already. No response.
Hope i am allowed to come

Takes a couple of days to come through - it'll be fine.

Have managed to convince a work colleagueto come along with his recently acquired Hyundai Cup (or very similar spec) car - he ran in the recent very wet midweek sprint meet at Lakeside and would be around the middle of group 3 or 4.

Don't say I don't contribute to the mechanical diversity of the events!

Craig - I have a 'Toyota Cup' that holds a decent drop of coffee/tea, is the 'Hyundai Cup' he bought similar? Mine's red and holds about 300ml

I guess we'll find out on the 20th, Rog!

He's a top bloke, I was stoked when he said he had organised the day off and was running.

I think it was the Norwegian site that has reasonably accurate forecasts, here: http://m.yr.no/place/Australia/Queensla ... /long.html

Last night it was showing lightish rain all day on the 20th. Slightly more optimistic now.

Yeah, was looking at the Norwegian one, which indeed looks to have been revised since I last looked at it. Rog mentioned it in the last Lakeside thread, the forecast from a week out for that event was absolutely spot on.

I'm keen for it to be dry - I've not done a proper session in the dry there yet. No, the happy laps do not count...
