Just 3 weeks to go!

NOTE: NRMA is getting out of CTP Insurance altogether as of I think 1-1-2014 I asked the question what happens from that date until your registration comes around for renewal, no specific answer except that they would have to issue 'extensions' until your CTP expired

OK - so what other Companies DONT charge for the CTP?

Suncorp, via phone or email. Friendly and helpful, email with CTP usualy within 2hrs. :) . Unfortunately you can only switch on rego renewal, I had to go through NRMA at A$10 a pop and 30 min on the phone for two track days now the red car has to go through RACQ for the next 2 events. Same deal, A$10 a pop and 30 mins on the phone. :?

Please ring Gillian on 07-3352 3581 and the fees charged will be gladly refunded - she assumes you must have gone thru NSW Office and they simply have NO idea!! I have spoken with her and NRMA very happy to rectify this for you Sonke

Gearbox issues... :frown:

I've got a 5 speed sitting here from a S14 you can borrow if needed, but if it goes bang you just bought it.......... :D

I'll sort everything out over the weekend, be interesting to see if the front strut brace makes any difference. Will also be good to see if I can go a bit quicker thna the last day out there and drop into the 66's

Also having fun with the S14, preparing the shell for seam welding and getting the cage fabricated. I think I hate seam sealer as much as sound deadener. I'm not sure which is worse to get out, and I'm sure the neighbours don't care as I'm sure they hate the noise of grinders and drills no matter what I'm stripping out of the shell.

I just thought I'd put this out there. I bought my new rotors from "online brake parts" (eBay). They are a Brisbane store. 2 x front rotors for 1.6 cost me $57 delivered. They didn't mention a brand so I crossed my fingers. This is what was on my front porch this arvo. Very happy.

Read this: http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/wp-content/uploads/CTP-Insurance-Extension.pdf
You will need to contact your CTP insurer - see your registration certificate to find out which company.

Qld raceways clubman license. Indemnity form. Etc. see mx5 club website. There's a link in one of JBT's previous posts in this thread.

JBT

I spoke with Gillian from NRMA today [07 3352 3581] based at Stafford. She handles ALL CTP extensions and for those with NRMA they will still be able to get them right thru until their registration runs out, after that they will have to choose

Anyone with NRMA, please ring Gillian and forget the NSW locations as they have absolutely no idea. If anyone had to pay NRMA previously, speak to Gillian as she confirmed THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED as there is absolutely NO CHARGE!!

She had my extension emailed to me as we spoke - well done, that's service!

So am I, earlier in this thread someone said that Suncorp is quitting the CTP game just like NRMA though? Will need to find another 'free' extension provider.

Car is booked in next week for 4 595 RSRs to go on, and an alignment by Ken at Accurate Suspension. Payment sent tonight, just got to get the CTP extension done and I'll be ready to go :D
