A big thank you to all the organizers and volunteers, the track time was fantastic and the advice was golden,

The nb 1998 200klm original very worn suspension was at its max and it didn't find the wall "bonus" see you at QR

It was great to put faces to names on the forum

I had an awesome first time out there. I decided to call it quits early as I was happy with just a tad over 71 sec for a first time and felt to go faster, I would probably start pushing things too far and I didn't want to come unstuck big time given how fast the track is.

Great day and thank you to everyone who was so friendly and welcoming.

See you in Sept!

Tell me about it! I limped home and confirmed number three coil died on the first lap. I think I'll find some Genuine Toyota instead of Genuine fakes...

What happened to Mxboss?

My first time at Lakeside today too and I'm glad to report that I survived without incident. Times weren't great but I had a lot of fun and learned the track which was my main goal for the day.

I'm planning on compiling a video of my best session using Dashware+ContourGPS data+Torque OBDII data and compare it to other drivers to see just where I can improve - technology is great these days.

I never did beat your time Grant but I've decided to make you my nemesis (competition is healthy), and know this:

"pool man" had a great time and like most first timers, was surprised how much time he knocked off from firts session to last.
I think he said to me at least 3 times during the day, that the car wouldnt go any faster!!! LOL
He just broke into the 1:08s at end of the day, in the Raliart.
I remember saying the same thing each time i go, and my 'car' keeps surprising me.

The adition of Sparco Seat and Sparco harness gave me the 'feel' and confidence to knock over a second off my previous PB and start running consistent 1:04s and dipping into the 1:03s with a PB of 1:03.48 - VERY HAPPY with value for money improvement on that modd.

Still working on youtube vid of fastest session, but dam it looks slow. The faster my laptimes get, the more casual and less agressive i look at the wheel in videos.

Congrats to all first timers and for everyone driving to their own pace and everyone driving home in straight cars.

Big thanks to Mark et al. Great day with PBs all over the paddock. As usual I was one of the last to leave. As I was leaving I stopped to ask how one of our newbies went, not realising he was the one who's car didn't make it to the end af the sighting laps, (White NA turbo). It turned out his car was dead with no way to get home (Ballina!!!), So after some phone calls and quick negotiating I dumped the (mighty) Corolla at home and headed back to Lakeside to load him on and get going. Big shout out to Matt from QR who stayed back. So after a 440 Km round trip I fell into bed at 1:30am. He was very impressed by the day and all the friendly people even though he didn't get to race. Not discouraged, he will be back for QR in Sept as will I. Cheers.

Here is one from my iPhone - not bad result actually
Bit of traffic to contend with - incl a charlie91 in limp mode, and Dean or Rob spun off at Eastern Loop lol
It was early in the day when i was still getting used to the seat and harness and still using 3rd gear at Eastern loop and karusel- list for rev limiter
