I decided to give the 'dirt' a miss so will be at LS for both morning practice & SS, so should be able to get a few spots if Sonke & I hook up G.

Re: QLD Raceway Street Sprints - Lakeside Feb 1st (Sunday)
Wow! Was a really good day and a fair number of MX5 on the field (I counted 10).
Times were not as good as I've done before, but I'm putting that down to primarily talent and the heat (boy was it hot). I guess I do need to consider that my nerves are becoming a little sketchy as my street tires are getting really squirmy now after a few hard session.
If you are keen on doing any track racing, and was wondering about the Street Sprints, then I'd suggest it is equal value to the club track days but without the penalty of being on the weekday (so easier to get time off work if you have M-F job).
Only downside is that there is a bit more a mixed field and my early runs were slowed significantly by being held up by the big cars that handle heavy but go like a bat-out-hell on the straights. I think in time the field will spread out as the times come in and they put groups together that can run together.
Overall, great day and thanks for the few of you that were friendly and said g'day. I'll post up a video of my best run, even though the time wasn't that great!

Thanks for the feedback on the value for money vs club runs G, that whole Monday thing can make it a bit tricky.
