No braking in the kink, the max speed for that lap was 170km just before carousel

Fair enough, I did mean the carousel, dunno why I said kink. I don't have to brake for the kink in my car, with the grip yours shows, no way it's going to let go at 160ish through there.

Ran Mt cotton yesterday. Only did 4 runs, and unfortunately the timing system died after the first one so the rest weren't timed. Hand timing my on board footage though, my last run seems to be between 52.8 and 53.0, so I'm calling it a 52.9 and claiming 4 tenths improvement over last time. Had a little twitch at lover's leap exiting the first loop, but didn't get out of shape. Much more fun at Mt cotton with oem sway bars in, the car isn't so close to oversteer at the slightest hint of lifting the throttle.

After 51 weeks away from Lakeside, in the dry at least, I ran the club day today. Somehow I managed to obliterate my previous best of 65.7, ending the day with two 63.8 second laps back to back in the final session. That put me fifth outright, and the quickest naturally aspirated car of the day. The phone lied to me in the first session and claimed I did a 63.2, which was disappointing after realising, but to come back only 6 tenths behind that, I'm very happy. Natsoft confirms both 63.8s, so I'm confident it's legit.

New Pb at Lakeside yesterday, aero is a big win. The corner grip increase is so significant that even though I accelerate slower on the straights, the higher entry speed actually increases my vmax, rather than decreasing it.

And just for fun, two more.

Stuck behind a big hp mustang with a clueless driver. Held the entire group up for almost the whole first sprint session. Being slow is fine, as long as you're not also either completely oblivious to what's behind you, or completely oblivious to the fact that the cars behind you are faster, you just have power on the straights.

And a more fun one, chasing a Monaro on full slicks. New driver to the car I think, car is capable of 58s on used slicks, but only turned 62.6s yesterday. Gaining under brakes and in corners seems like it must be so much more satisfying than just pushing the loud pedal on straights.

I'm sure he told all his mates he was the fastest there leading the whole group for the day in his v8 beast
Hoping they don't check Natsoft

Doug bumped him down at least one group after that session. His best time for the afternoon on natsoft was only a 66.8, 22nd of 32 cars. Going back through his previous natsoft entries, those times are pretty typical for him in that car. Why he thought it was a good idea to queue up first is beyond me, let alone in group 2 of 4.

Here's my quickest - and rather untidy - run from Gatton's street sprints. I managed to start with my hands in all the wrong places, and missed a gear coming into the second lap.

I think you can only embed HTTPS youtube links on this forum, need to leave the S in. Here's it is.

Very busy, much more to driving that fast than the track map would suggest :p Good effort.
