Re: Time Attack - Maximum Attack - QR Nov 8
Time Attack rounds are split, however Maximum Attack is like Jap Nats.
I proposed the splitter because I have one on mine
The rule I suggested will not allow very large ones to be made however it will allow people to experiment.

I'm in open class, in a pretty much bog stock r33 gtst..... Can't be assed fitting a extra seat..... zero f#cks giv'n
Time attack people gunna Time attack.... There is always going to be some one with more money and talent....that build a car for the rules, Just look at the dick waving at WTAC. Come on six figure builds with pro drivers.... I like the cars but at some point you have to wonder? Most can't make more than two laps with out blown a poo poo valve.... I'm sure a hooker and crack adiction would be cheaper! Plus I would say way more fun
But the vibe at the time attack days in Brisbane are bloody tops, all most every one got there bonnet open, showing what they have done to there car. heaps of different types of cars, I.M.O. it's one of the best events.

If your not running at, or near the pointy end.... No one will give two s#its
If you stick a hammer head on the front, I'm bringing a grinder with a cutting disk

I agree with both paragraphs.
The vibe at the time attack rounds is always positive. They are a well run day.

In the normal time attack I'm in outright class, the only NA so not even close to the front runners, but I still enjoy it. Outright class is not split.

I've done 61s, with it acting like a drift car.should be a low 60 if you can. Pedal it. It seems to hate changing direction... To big and heavy with a boat anchor hanging over the front axle.
I'm out though. Checked dates.... I can't make it family commitment.
Will try and make the end of year one though. You can have a drive then.

Balls dude! Who will turn on Tim's camera?
You'll hit a 60s one day. Is it less drift car now? I can't drift...

That's cool man! I saw the gt4 on the entry list (st205?), really keen to see how it goes. You'll be disappointed with the mods most of us have... Just go check out the AutomotivePlus' NC

Pretty sure there's a 59 in it, I've put new front springs in it, took 2 seconds off my best time on the national circuit. Seems to be less drift, at low speeds, also removed the rear sway bar..... Nissans, have a f#cked up rear end, BTW
But I, Could all ways wind up the boost to 20 psi and put slicks on it and be done.... But my chq books not that big, Haha!
Have a good one....

Re: Time Attack - Maximum Attack - QR Nov 8
It's on this weekend if anyone wants to come and check it out. There are 43 entrants up on the website.
Currently 5 mx5's entered... Something modeled off an NC, turbo NA with epic wing, a smurf with the heart of a Nissan, an ex qr racer, and two white NA8's, one with an affinity to redbull.
Judging from nominated times though, I am the slowest haha
